BK Geveldragers has been supplying construction companies with its innovative brickwork supports for 3 years. Since its launch, the company has grown steadily every year and continues to invest in the digitalisation needed to support this growth.
For example, the company launched a calculation module driven by artificial intelligence. Invisible to customers, but very impactful, as it turns out. "Digitalisation has been the spearhead of our company since day one," says Bart Lauryssen, founder of BK Geveldragers.
From day one, the company has invested in its own online platform where customers can follow up all their quotes and orders. "On the one hand, you have the builders who like using our brickwork supports because they can be installed very easily and quickly," says Bart Lauryssen.
"On the other hand, you have the estimators, who are served much faster thanks to our platform when they need to request prices." The recently launched calculation module is driven by artificial intelligence, enabling the Malle-based company to deliver a faster service.
"This A.I. reads the building plans and provides the correct dimensions accurate to the centimetre," Bart explains. "Because this process runs in the background, customers don't notice it straight away. For us, however, it saves an enormous amount of time. Where it might once have taken us half an hour to prepare a quote, we now do it in three minutes.
This increases our productivity tenfold," we are told. The smart algorithm was trained using the thousands of plans that BK Geveldragers has calculated over the past years. Every new plan makes the algorithm work better and more accurately.
BK Geveldragers will continue to focus on digital innovation in the future. The company is already working on the next developments. "The goal is to offer our customers a fully self-service portal. And since we already automate a great deal, we know exactly how much insulation or facing brick is needed, for example.
So we don't have to limit ourselves to brickwork supports alone," says Lauryssen.
